Prairie Homestead’s Assisted Living has been deemed deficiency free by KS Department on Aging and Disabilities annual state inspectors since 2011. This affirms our commitment to quality care and services. This is a great achievement and something we are extremely proud of! Quality care and overall wellness is our top priority!
Approximately every 15 months, state inspectors conduct full (standard) inspections of assisted living communities for compliance with the federal Medicare and Medicaid regulations, which aims to protect and improve the health and safety of elders that live there. When inspectors find noncompliance, the community receives a citation (called a deficiency) that indicates the specific federal regulation that was violated. When inspectors find the community is in 100% compliance with regulations, they are deemed deficiency free. Prairie Homestead’s Assisted Living is one of the few assisted living communities in the state to receive this great recognition.
