We are a non-profit retirement community designed to give our residents the independence that they need, while committing to provide supportive services when, and if the time comes, they need more assistance. 

We are a faith based community founded by the American Baptist laity and ministries in 1965. Our residents come from many different religious backgrounds, which enrich the living experience of all our residents.

We offer your loved ones the opportunity to enjoy Christian fellowship in a safe, secure, and comfortable surrounding. Prairie Homestead residents can have a caring relationship with new friends while maintaining their valued relationships with family and old friends.

MissionStatement

Prairie Homestead as an expression of Christian Mission and within scope of its available resources, will provide and maximize quality housing, care and services for older adults who become residents in this retirement community

Prairie Homestead provides housing accommodations and care without regard to race, color, creed, sex or national origin. Its purpose is to provide older adults with accommodations and services especially designed to meet their physical, social and spiritual needs, and to contribute to their health and security.
